How to Use Stop Loss and Take Profit in QuickTrade Pro

​Trading in the stock market can move very fast. Prices can rise and fall in minutes, and it’s not always possible to watch the market all the time. That’s why QuickTrade Pro offers two powerful tools to help you trade smarter: Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP).

With these tools, you can set automatic triggers. Once the market price comes close to your set level, the system will place your order for execution.

​What is Stop Loss (SL)?

A Stop Loss helps protect you from large losses.

• You set a minimum price at which your stock should be sold.
• If the market price falls to that level, the system will automatically place a sell order.

👉 Example: If you bought a stock at Tk. 34 and set your Stop Loss at Tk. 32, the system will place a sell order once the price hits Tk. 32—helping you control your losses.

​What is Take Profit (TP)?

A Take Profit helps you secure your gains.

• You set a target price at which you want to sell your stock.
• Once the market price reaches that level, the system will automatically place a sell order, locking in your profit.

👉 Example: If you bought a stock at Tk. 34 and set your Take Profit at Tk. 36, the system will place a sell order once the price touches Tk. 36.

How to Set Stop Loss and Take Profit in QuickTrade Pro

1. Open the QuickTrade Pro app and go to your Portfolio.
2. Select the stock you want to protect or secure gains on.
3. Tap on Take Profit (TP) / Stop Loss (SL).
4. Enter your desired prices:
   • Stop Loss (to protect downside)
   • Take Profit (to secure upside)
5. Choose start and expiry dates.
6. Tap Set (or Update if editing an existing order).

​How Stop Loss & Take Profit Orders Work in QuickTrade Pro

• When the market LTP (Last Traded Price) comes within 0.3% of your set Stop Loss or Take Profit level, your order will be automatically placed in the market.
• You will also receive a mobile notification alert once the order is executed (make sure to allow notifications on your phone).
• While an order may go to the market once conditions are met, it might not execute due to market factors (for example, if no matching buyer/seller is available).
• In such cases, the order will expire automatically after the market closes.

👉 Clients are encouraged to check their Order List in QuickTrade Pro to confirm the status and, if needed, set up a new Stop Loss/Take Profit order for the next day.
